Region Track 2009

Alex (freshman) got to have his first experience with a really important Track Meet. It was a beautiful morning, and our team got to host the first-ever Region Track Meet at home. He was awesome!
Here is the start of the 3200M race. Go Al! Go Skyhawks! Here is the beginning of the race, with a tight pack to break through.
About halfway through the race.
At the "Gun Lap".
The finish line. Al had the race of his life. He ended up with a huge PR time of 10:43, and was 4th in the region. This was just good enough to allow him to compete in the State Meet next weekend.
Above left: that is a picture of half of "Coach Minson" at the finish line.
Kyle was a proud coach that day.

Wahoo!!! Congratulations, Alex!! That's really awesome. You have a family of runners - they must practice running away from you... :)
Where did they all get this talent? Did you run or did Mark run in high school? Or are they just all afraid of you? :)

Al,
Your time is 1/100 of a second FASTER than the winning time in our District 3A schools. Come run for us.
